During the month of November, Power of One volunteers, and their corporate sponsor CSBK (Clifton Savings Bank) community Liaison, Maria Kosmider, were out once again raising awareness that Hunger Doesn’t Stop. This time, collecting food donations for Thanksgiving.
The food drive was able to feed 20 of the many families, who use the Power of One School food pantry. They were given a complete Thanksgiving meal and enough kid friendly food for Thanksgiving break. The School Pantry is located inside Elementary School #12 in Clifton and benefits Clifton children in grades K-5.

With the help of the Clifton Girl Scout Troops #95322 and #96393 during their November troop meetings, the girls and their moms sorted and packaged the donated food. A special thanks to the troop leaders for always being ready to help. The prepared packages were then delivered to School # 12 in Clifton just before Thanksgiving weekend.
“Having the Girl Scouts support has been such a great pleasure and great help to our organization” added Kim Castellano, Mission Director of Power of One. “It also gives the girls a “hands on” opportunity and demonstration of the gift of giving to their community.”
The next Hunger Doesn’t Stop Food Drive is in December “Winter Break” – all non-perishable food donations are being accepted until Dec. 21st. Non-perishable food items such as; hot/cold cereal, meals in a can (ravioli’s), fruit cups, juice boxes, mac and cheese, granola bars, fruit snacks, pancake complete mix and syrup, peanut butter and jelly, tuna, soups, and dry milk. Items can be dropped off at any CSBK Bank located in Clifton. Contact Kim Castellano at 201-328-2326 and become a corporate sponsor and impact your community.
The School Pantry is a ministry of Power of One Outreach Ministries, providing underprivileged children with basic needs during his/her school year. We work closely with principals, teachers and counselors of our schools and have become a bridge between the teacher and student by providing the student the supplies they need to succeed during the year.
